3 Outfits Under Fifty

Hello Loves,

I'm bringing you something a little different today, three different looks each totaling under fifty dollars. I can tend to run up a shopping bill pretty easily, but for the most part I try to be budget savvy shopper. There are four main sites that I tend to use when I am not shopping my usual Jane, and I need simple inexpensive pieces. Those  sites are Sheinside, JollyChic,  Forever 21, and of course NordstromRack (Which is having their clear the rack sale right now btw). You can literally put together just about any look for way less by using these sites. Who doesn't love that?

When I have an event that I need an outfit for, I like to give myself a budget and then try to beat it. Or if I am needing some extra pieces for a season, I make a game to see how well I can spend a set amount of money. It helps tremendously with not getting carried away spending. Clothes just does not have to be that complicated or expensive. The first look is great for a business day or for the everyday sassy teacher.  The second is a perfect chill or weekend outfit; and the third is a date night look. In the third, I must say that I am loving it the most. I love pairing odd pieces like this. Do you have any where that you like to shop that has great deals? Let me know.

I would also like to address a matter that lays close to my heart. With this blog, my intention are never to be proud or boastful. It is simply to be inspirational. I also hope to always set a standard in the things that I post of modesty. I think it is so important in today's society. Furthermore, even as much as I love to dress up, I do not think (contrary to easy misconception) that appearance should be of main concern. For those of you who wonder what I consider to be most important in a woman, I found a great little article here that lines out my thoughts exactly, and I highlighted my favorite part below.

1 Peter 3:3-4 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
— What the Bible Says About Beauty and Appearance By Vicki Courtney

What it means: This does not mean it's wrong to braid your hair or wear nice clothes and jewelry. The verse was written to warn women not to follow the customs of some of the Egyptian women who, during that time period, spent hours and hours working on their hair, makeup, and finding the perfect outfit. God would rather see women work on becoming beautiful on the inside — the kind of beauty that lasts forever.

As always, thank you for stopping by and I hope you leave inspired.
