Signs of Hope - Now Open

     Hello Lovelies, Today IS A GOOD DAY! Drumroll please... Signs of Hope is now OPEN. I have been so excited to write this post. I could not wait to tell you what we have been up to. We being myself and my fam. We have recently started a small business of handmade custom signs and home decor. You may have seen me hint at it here lately on social media, but I wanted to wait until we were a little further along in the process. Now, I cannot wait for you to see our new site. I also want to point out the new tab in my navigation that will take you directly there. 

     It all kind of started as a hobby that just kept growing and growing. Let's just say that The Lord kept opening up the right doors for us. My mother-in-love had the yearning to start making handmade signs for quite some time, and if you are interested, she wrote a piece about it on the blog of the site.  I really encourage you to check that out. But, she was way too nice to mention a key step to our journey. She ordered a sign from a different site, (No I will not tell you from where, I refuse to name bash.) and it took MONTHS to get it in. The boys of the family decided that they could make it themselves, so they did. They had actually made several signs by the time she got hers in. Then when she got her sign in, sadly it was all wrong. That lead to the actual start of the business. 

     Friends of the family got interested and word got out. Soon the we found ourselves with order after order, and we all realized that we had something to offer to the business. God gave this family the blessing of creativity, that is for sure. We all flow with the creative juices. Word of mouth spread to having a booth at The Painted Tree Vintage, and what a blessing to have expanded yet again.

      We offer a variety of hand-crafted things, all of which examples can be seen above: custom wooden scripture signs, custom monogram wooden signs, reclaimed wooden hearts, wooden arrows, hand-lettered signs, canvas signs, custom paintings, and a few other crafts. Our goal is to spread the love and word of God one sign and heart at a time. What can we make for you?

Casual Maxi Skirt and Fringe

Hello Lovelies, 

     Happy Late 4th!!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I know I did. Spending a weekend of fun, family, food and fireworks is right up my alley. We got invited, for the second year in a row, to watch the works on a private lake, what a blessing. They are truly a phenomenon to watch. I want to say a humongous thank you to every single one of you who has shown me love in this blog. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for every like and share and comment. I am so blown away when I watch the number of views grow every single post I make. 

     Summer is in full swing lately, and I am all about the life of cool wherever I can get it (note the hair). Skirts are the perfect option for that. Some of you may know that I work from home, so I do not always feel the need to get prettied up every day, especially during the summer. I feel like it takes so much effort and energy and it just sweats away in ten minutes. Skirts and maxis are perfect for combating the bum look and for maintaining coolness while still being cute. That is exactly what I need. 

     I created this look with all older pieces that I have had for awhile, but I have linked everything you need to be able to recreate it. The best place to get these simple staple pieces is through Jane.com. I know you have all heard me raving about them, but you really cannot beat the deals. Every wardrobe needs essential staple pieces, why not get them for way less. I have linked a few summer options below that are offered through Jane right now, and they are all between ten and thirty dollars. I also linked a site that sells a striped maxi just like this one, (they also sell through Jane.com), but is not on at this exact moment.

     Two of the shirts that I linked only have one day left of the deal, so if you like them, move quickly. Those two shirts do not have fringe, however, they can easily be altered with a little D.I.Y.  There are several videos on youtube that can help. I know it is hard to cut up a brand new shirt, but I have done it and it is really no biggy.      It doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg to dress cute.
