Hanging on to Summer

September 22, 2015

Hello Lovelies, Greetings from the beach. While everyone else is chatting up their fall attire, I am over here still hanging on to summer. The past month and a half were tough on Jermo and I, but we were blessed enough to go on a much needed vacay. I still intend on setting aside a blog post specifically for updating you on our condition. I thank you for all of your prayers.

This outfit is all from Forever 21. Some of these pieces are older, but you can still find something similar on their site for each. This outfit speaks my language fluently. I love to mix prints and textures: floral kimono, striped crop top, high waist shorts, and leather shoes. The only thing I would like to have added to this getup would would have been a floppy felt hat.

I want to sincerely thank everyone that participated in the Dear Heart Designs Giveaway for the "Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders" necklace. In case you missed it on Instagram, the winner of that piece was Teisha Weisenfels.

Today, I want to do a little something out of the usual and give you three tips that I think will make your day to day life better.

1. Never assume that you know what what someone else is going through. I can not stress this enough. It does not matter how close you are with someone or how much you may be around someone. You can NEVER know what is going on with them all the time. Just because they may not mention it, does not mean that they don't have their own unmentioned issues.

2. Forgive Yourself. Realize that you are a human and you just can not live without making a mistake. It is not possible. Apologize when you need to and move on.

3. Think before you say. Once you say something, you can not get it back. In the Moses law times, a persons words were as binding as a contract is now. I wish that were still the case. Sometimes people (myself included) say hurtful things and then try to apologize later once you have calmed down. There is a problem with this. The damage has already been done. And although the person may forgive you, you have already hurt them deeply. Its easier to forgive than to forget. Those are two different things. Truly think before you say anything. Words are powerful and can either harm or help. Which do you want to do?

Thank you so much for stopping by. Love always Sarah Kate.

“3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”
— Colossians 3:1-2 King James Version

Dear Heart Designs + Giveaway

September 6, 2015
Dearheart1.jpg

Hello Lovelies! If you saw on my Insta, I hinted (with this lip photo) that I would be doing a giveaway, but I didn't say what. I will be giving away the necklace below. I guess you all have my sweet mother-in-love to thank for this one. She is the guilty party for introducing me to Dear Heart Designs run by the adorable Nichole Kirk. She makes the sweetest little inspirational jewelry pieces. I fell in love instantly. I got one of her sideways bar necklaces inscribed with none other than "Sarah-ndipity". How appropriate, Right?

Little gold accent jewelry is all the rage right now and Dear Heart Designs offers the perfect way to jazz up and personalize this trend. Nichole has allowed me to give away one of her precious pieces on here. I am so thankful that she did. You can enter using the Rafflecopter below, Instagram, or Facebook. See Instagram and Facebook for instructions on how to enter to win the necklace through those outlets. I am giving away a "Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders" necklace. I almost wanted to keep it for myself, but my cup already runneth over. So, you are welcome for it.

When I was trying to select which necklace I would use in this giveaway, I saw this one and immediately knew. This was the right one to choose. AND, when I started making this post, would you believe me, that the very song came on! I take that as confirmation that I was right. I pray that it blesses whoever wins. I promise you will love it. Thank you so much for stopping by today, and happy entering.

Mmm-mum and Daa-dee. ❤️
This is the face of being caught where you aren’t suppose to be. 😅 😂 Half smile/smirk, half nervous/scared. 🤣
It may be blurry but it’s still pretty precious. She was laughing and wiggling to much to take pics. Haha
Best quarantine buddy ever.
My mind was shook when I learned something that I have believed most of my life was wrong.

From the show The Big Comfy Couch, the clowns name is Loonette not Luna like I always thought. I’ve always sang “It’s Luna and Molly”
Good thing I have such a sweet isolation partner. She must think the world is so small. I wonder what she will think when she gets to experience life outside of our home again. .

I hope your weekend was this happy and that you stayed in jammies all day like we did. 🥰
